jun26 Enhancing Supply Chain Efficiency in the Guangdong--Hong Kong--Macao Greater Bay Area's Air Transport System: A Perspective from Bullwhip Effect Mitigation https://soapubs.com/index.php/SOAPS/article/view/2178/2004 He Sui 1, * 1 Hongwen School Qingdao Campus, Qingdao, China * Correspondence: He Sui, Hongwen School Qingdao Campus, Qingdao, China Abstract: The Guangdong --Hong Kong --Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) has developed a dense and functionally differentiated airport cluster that plays a critical role in regional and global logistics. However, its air transport supply chain still faces significant ineffi ciencies caused by fragmented cross-jurisdictional governance, long lead times, and weak information connectivity. These conditions intensify the bullwhip effect by amplifying demand fluctuations, distorting inventory decisions, raising logistics costs, and reducing supply chain responsiveness. ...

Transportadoras pouco dispostas a lançar novas rotas aéreas

anb26 Air Macau cancelled 155 flights amid soaring fuel costs By  Newsdesk Air Macau has announced the cancellation of 155 round-trip flights scheduled for May and June, citing unsustainable operating costs driven by surging global oil prices, TDM Radio reported The move affects popular routes to Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta, among others. Passengers had already reported widespread disruptions in recent weeks, with several regular services abruptly halted. The airline confirmed the scale of the cancellations in a statement to the chinese language TDM Radio stressing that the international price of aviation fuel has climbed to US$205 dollars (MOP1,656) per barrel — a level it says has made many routes financially unviable. The Civil Aviation Authority of Macau said it is closely monitoring the impact of oil price volatility on the city’s aviation sector, with the regulator pledging to continue pressing carriers to handle passenger refunds and ticke...

Lao Ngai Leong calls for joint Macau–Zhuhai aviation hub

mar26 M acau National People’s Congress (NPC) delegate Lao Ngai Leong has submitted a proposal supporting the joint development of an international aviation hub on the west bank of the Pearl River by Macau and Zhuhai. The proposal calls on the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), while ensuring safety, to further relax Zhuhai Airport’s slot coordination parameters and explore the establishment of a collaborative air traffic control (ATC) operating mechanism suited to the development of an international aviation hub on the west bank of the Pearl River. It also aims to systematically address airspace bottlenecks restricting the development of Macau and Zhuhai airports, laying the groundwork for increased future flight capacity and improved operational efficiency. In addition, Lao submitted another proposal to optimise entry policies for foreigners at Hengqin Port by drawing on the visa-free arrangements of the Hainan Free Trade Port, with the aim of supporting the high-qua...

(geral) what path should Macau take to reposition its fully liberalized aviation industry for the future?

fev26 Against the backdrop of deepening cooperation between Hong Kong and Zhuhai airports and accelerated integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, what path should Macau take to reposition its fully liberalized aviation industry for the future? Macau’s aviation industry took off with the opening of its international airport in 1995 – the world’s second and Greater China’s first airport constructed on reclaimed land. Three decades later, the airport is home to 31 airlines, linking 46 cities globally with around 1,000 weekly scheduled flights, long serving as a vital transport hub connecting Macau to the rest of the world. Yet flight growth has long been constrained by limited land and sea resources, which have strained apron space, taxiways and aircraft parking facilities. As early as July 2016, the SAR government first proposed an expansion blueprint and in November 2024 it officially kicked off the “Reclamation and Apron Construction Project” to reserve capa...
